The Summer Community Coordinator works closely with Project Director (PD) and Project Manager (PM) for project implementation. This position serves as the community liaison for Hāinu Lāʻau. Hāinu Lāʻau believes in each ʻohana's ability to provide strong and healthy developmental environments for their keiki. The program seeks to affirm Native Hawaiian families by helping reawakening the traditional and cultural practices that belong in every Hawaiian home. To do this, Hāinu Lāʻau provides Mauli Ola education, based on the traditional and cultural healing practices with a focus on the well-being of Native Hawaiian children, kamaliʻi (young children) to ʻōpio (older youth).
